Winning Strategies for Immigrant Entrepreneurship (Wise5) was a research project focusing on five communities in southwestern Ontario: Hamilton, Kitchener-Waterloo, London, Niagara, and Windsor.

Between March 2011 and March 2012, immigrant entrepreneurs were interviewed and people who work with them in these five communities, conducted a literature review, and scanned the country for best practices in terms of policies and programs promoting entrepreneurship.  The final report contains recommendations that would not only help immigrant entrepreneurs succeed, but they are also applicable to Canadian-born populations.

You are welcome to use these materials — including the videos — for instructional purposes or however they might be useful in your community.

We only ask that you give credit to Wise5 and our funder Citizenship and Immigration Canada.
